2020 Mead Crafters Competition

Packaging, Labeling & Shipping

2020 Mead Crafters Competition

All meaderies must clearly label EVERY bottle or can of mead being sent with the following information:
  1. Name of the meadery
  2. Name of the mead
  3. Category in which the mead will be judged

Package your meads to ensure they won’t break during transit. The National Honey Board is not responsible for broken shipments, however we will contact the meadery if broken bottles are received. If meaderies wish, they can include cold packs in their shipments.

Each shipment should include a note or label that states the name of the meadery, name of the mead and which category you wish your mead to compete in.

Shipping will be open between September 14-23, 2020.

All entrants must submit at least two 750ml bottles, or the equivalent of, by September 23, 2019, to:

National Honey Board
ATTN: Keith Seiz
23 Rose Court
Glen Carbon, IL 62034

Each entrant is responsible for shipping costs.

  1. Place all bottles standing upright in the shipping container. All bottles should be wrapped and secured.
  2. Include sufficient packaging materials (bubble wrap, etc.).
  3. Meads sent in coolers or other special containers will not be returned.
  4. Any unused mead will not be sent back to the applicant after the competition.
